Corporate Social Responsibility
CRCC Asia believes that businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the wider community, and all three directors support a number of charitable endeavors and organizations.
Smile Train
CRCC Asia is working in partnership with Smile Train, an international charity that provides cleft lip and palate surgery to children and cleft-related training to doctors. Smile Train works in many countries around the globe, but is particularly active in China. Clefts are a major problem in developing countries, where there are millions of children suffering from unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly, find attending school difficult, and may be unable to find a job. They face very difficult lives filled with shame and isolation, pain and heartache.
Surgery to repair a cleft costs as little as $250 and the procedure takes as little as 45 minutes. In December 2009, CRCC Asia helped raise RMB 100,000 for Smile Train in conjunction with the Oxford and Cambridge Club Beijing.
For further information about Smile Train in China, please visit their website http://www.smiletrain.org/.
If you know anyone with an unrepaired cleft lip and or palate from a poor family in China who requires a free reconstructive surgery to be sponsored by Smile Train, please call this free number - 800 810 0059. For any questions, please write to wxlc@smiletrain.org.

Migrant Children's Foundation
CRCC Asia works closely with the Migrant Children’s Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that aims to enrich the lives of disadvantaged migrant children in China through volunteering programs. Due to low wages and limited access to education, migrant children often attend school far away from home. Most of these schools are overcrowded and lack the support and resources they need to give the children the education they deserve.
The goal of MCF is to educate and inspire these children through creative classes and activities. Through its volunteering days, MCF gives migrant children the opportunity to experience people and ideas they wouldn't necessarily find in their day-to-day environment. CRCC Asia supports the foundation’s Beijing Buddies initiative every month.
