CRCC Asia’s Annual Community Day got off to a flying debut on 22 July 2012 with over 100 interns participating in the event.
The daytime saw over 80 interns volunteering at five local charities:
- Hangpu Elderly Centre
- Sunshine Centre
- Children’s Migrant school
- Mifan Mama
- CereCare Wellness Centre
CRCC Asia believes that it is important to bring people within a community together to strengthen communal ties and to help those who need support.
Special thanks must also go to Manchester United FC who kindly donated a limited edition football and shirt signed by all the players on their 2012 pre-season tour of China.The Camel kindly hosted, and sponsored, our evening fundraising event where 4,000RMB was collected for the above charities. Much thanks goes to The Camel, The Dragon Trip, Spread the Bagel, Hongbox, Element Spa, Juerui and Pommery.
Manchester United also kindly donated 100 tickets to CRCC Asia which we then distributed to the charities below so that their users could go to their football match against Shanghai Shenhua on 25 July 2012:
