China Internship

As an intern with CRCC Asia you’ll spend one or two months living, working and socialising in China’s vibrant capital. In addition to your work placement you’ll receive comprehensive training, accommodation in the heart of Beijing, and the chance to attend a range of social and networking events. The following services are also included as standard in our Beijing Internship program:

  • Internship in Beijing – An internship in a sector of your choice. Please refer to our program page for more details on sectors, job roles and the responsibilities of an intern.

  • Visa processing - We apply for a visa on your behalf approximately one month before departure.  All visas will be specifically suited to doing an internship in China, rather  than working on a tourist or student visa, which would not be legitimate.
  • Pre-departure advice and assistance - Our teams in the USA and the UK will take you through any preparations you need, including helping you get the right flights and ensuring that you are well prepared for your trip.
  • Pre-departure meet & greet (for UK applicants)– Our team in London hosts a fun social event to give you the chance to meet fellow interns before you leave for Beijing and there’s a pre-departure Facebook group for all applicants to meet and interact prior to departure
  • Airport pickup - Our Beijing Intern support team will be at the airport to welcome you and take you to your accommodation.  You should  arrive on the recommended day between 9am and 9pm local time to take advantage of this service.
  • Accommodation in central Beijing - You will reside in a centrally located 'aparthotel' near the embassy district.  The area is very lively, has good shopping, entertainment and is close to transport options.
  • Welcome banquet - The day after you arrive in Beijing you have a chance to meet all the other Beijing interns on your program, along with the CRCC Asia team.  You'll try authentic local food in a high quality restaurant.

  • Welcome pack – This pack contains all you need to know about Beijing, where to go for certain services and how to get around.  We also include a SIM card for your mobile phone so you can make calls at local rates, as well as a map of Beijing.
  • Induction Day: China Business Training - You will be instructed in cultural differences and company related etiquette in order to reduce culture shock and ensure you can build a good relationship with your supervisor and colleagues. This really helps to make sure that your internship in China is as positive and productive as possible.

  • Induction Day: Basic Mandarin Training  - This will help you to be able to pronounce place names and people's names, and to learn the numbers and basic dialogue for shopping and getting around.
  • English speaking supervisor at your place of work - This ensures you can communicate and get maximum benefit from your internship in China.  You may want to request more work, or ask to look at a particular side of the business, and your supervisor and CRCC Asia will be your first ports of call.
  • Social events and networking opportunities - Throughout your internship period our Beijing office organizes weekly social events and networking opportunities that will enable you to get the most out of your time in Beijing. These include a careers advice dinner, a networking event with Peking University, an acrobatics show and bowling.
  • Charity Work - CRCC Asia is heavily involved in charity work, both in Beijing and further afield in China, and we offer many opportunities for interns to help out during their free time. If you would like to help with migrant children, animal welfare or general community action, then we can put you in contact with lots of organizations who are looking for assistance.
