CRCC Asia has had thousands of people on its various programs, and has built up a strong alumni network of people with similar interests in China. This will help you maintain the relationships you built during your time in China.
Developing strong business relationships take time and work. Completing an internship with CRCC Asia kick starts this process and helps you to access a network of like-minded people who will become a personal and professional network for years to come.
Relationships and networking (guanxi) are a core element of Chinese business and can open doors and present unexpected opportunities and partnerships. Even after you return to your home country, CRCC Asia will help you keep in touch with your fellow participants:
- All past participants automatically become a member of the CRCC Asia Alumni Network upon their return to their home countries. Through this we can make you aware of China-related information and events in your area.
- We have alumni groups on Facebook and LinkedIn to help you maintain your personal and professional networks online.
- We hold reunions and networking events to help past participants stay in touch.

While in China on the CRCC Asia internship program, I worked at a third party logistics provider. To date I have optimized my international business development opportunities and value the opportunity of going to China. My Beijing experience honed and tailored my multicultural views and strengthened my communication and analytical skills.
As an intern, my role was to conduct an in-depth analysis of specific industry leaders. Research included assessment of each company’s financial health, and its marketing position and product offerings. I then leveraged this analysis to pinpoint companies’ compatibility for partnership.
More recently my current position with Bloomberg L.P in New York City has been developing my analytical skills adding wider understanding of financial markets and interconnectedness of financial services.
My time in China was a very important stage in my life. The whole experience was truly amazing. The people, cultural and work experiences are all one of a kind.
The Beijing experience expanded my ability to understand, establish, foster, and maximize global business relationships. I feel these experiences have all been key in developing my personal and professional goals.
