Upcoming Global Conferences

CRCC Asia is excited to be attending multiple conferences throughout the world this Spring including AIEA, WISE, and FEA. These conferences give us the opportunity to partner with universities to present sessions, build communities of knowledge, network with current partners as well as build new partnerships.

In Session:

Andy will be presenting on Shaping expectations- effective advising for international internships. It is often said that a student participating in an international internship will face two shocks: the first is culture shock and adapting to a new city, the second is work shock and adapting to a full-time work experience. Ensuring that a student is prepared and readied against these two shocks is crucial to the success of the program and the student. This session will review the best practices for advising for study abroad, as well as that for a domestic internship. Finally it will combine the two, for a holistic review of the best practices in effective advising for international internships. Drawing from evaluations and key inputs that CRCC Asia has made, it will also discuss the challenges in implementing effective advising.

CRCC Asia will be attending the 15th Annual FEA Conference held in Denver, CO from Thursday, March 27th – Friday, March 29th. We will have a booth so please check us out in the exhibit hall. Jillian is a rare Denver native so feel free to ask her any recommendations.

While we know that 15 of the 21st century skills can be obtained through study abroad experiences many students lack the skills to identify their global competencies and apply it to their resume, cover letter, or narrative. This session will review exercises and support that an advisor, university or provider can utilize in helping students returning from their program apply their experience to their career readiness.

CRCC Asia will be attending the Annual Global Internship Conference, in Auckland, NZ. We’re excited to be once again hosting a booth and acting as “Silver Sponsor”
