It has been a few months since I have returned home from Shanghai after completing my internship; the experience was that unforgettable that I hope I can translate into text the amazing experience I had. I have always wanted to do an internship in Shanghai and I came across the CRCC Asia Shanghai program which was advertised at my University. After reading about the program and the testimonials and some information search on Shanghai, I decided this was something I really wanted to do to tie up my degree. The application process was simple and CRCC Asia took care of all the hard work trying to match my internship preferences and organizing the appropriate paper work.

The company that I interned for was more than what I expected. The staff were wonderful and taught me more than I ever thought I could learn. I was always told you will get what you put into the internship and that is very much how it is. If you approach your internship with the right attitude and willingness to learn, you will take

My internship in Beijing in 2011 was a great experience and definitely enhanced my C.V. helping me secure a job after University. Not only did my time in China give me experience of working in a professional environment, I also developed my personal skills throughout the internship. A great educational background isn’t enough to secure a top job in the current climate, having an internship in China certainly makes you stand out from the crowd.

I would definitely recommend the CRCC Asia, not only did it enhance my CV and experience of working abroad; I had a great time doing it too. Many of the qualities I gained and developed are essential for my current role on the Finance Graduate Scheme with Tesco, without the internship with CRCC Asia it would be much harder to get a job with such excellent prospects. Although it is a big decision to make, don’t be afraid to take it, it truly is an excellent opportunity that will stand you in good stead for the future.

It has almost been a year since I had my two months internship in Shanghai with CRCC Asia. I strongly believe that joining the program was a positive life changing experience for me. Not only did I meet great contacts and friends that I still meet up with in different parts of the world, but it also gave me an opportunity to develop myself as a person and lead me to a career path I never expected.

Overall, I had an amazing time in Shanghai! If it weren’t for CRCC Asia, I would not have realised my interest in the start-up scene and I would not have met SeedAsia’s CEO in the Longemont Hotel. Many thanks to CRCC Asia for two months well spent and for opening my door to amazing opportunities!

In the absence of anything better to do over the summer holidays (well, not really a holiday now that I’m graduating from my MA programme and definitively and conclusively leaving the world of education behind!), I applied for CRCC Asia’s inaugural scholarship for a student with a disability on a whim over the Christmas break. Although being accepted onto the programme was a complete shock, it’s definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done.

CRCC Asia supported me throughout this whole experience, and I can honestly say that I felt completely safe in Shanghai. They made everything so simple: visa processing, airport pick-up and accommodation. I would definitely recommend an internship in Shanghai, China!

I accidentally stumbled upon CRCC Asia on the internet after searching for a Mandarin language course in the UK. Immediately I was hooked on the idea of going to China to learn so I decided to sign up to the two month language course they provide in association with Mandarin House. What I ended up experiencing was not just a language education, but also an insight into another culture which I quickly became addicted to. My experience with CRCC Asia ended up influencing my aspirations as I now am keen to pursue a career in China.

Overall I am glad that I found CRCC Asia, they provided an experience that has been fascinating, enjoyable, personally enriching and has shown me the career opportunities that China has to offer. I would recommend this course to anyone, it looks great on your CV and with a lot of the admin handled by CRCC Asia you can make the most of your time out there. I can’t wait to return to China!

China is not for the faint-hearted, but if you like adventure, it is definitely the place to be! My first experience of the country was through a summer school in Shanghai three years ago and I was instantly captured by the excitement and fast-pace of life. As soon as I had finished my studies, I had to return. This time it was to Beijing and to the world of work.

Overall, it was an intense but incredible two months of internship in Beijing that I will never forget!

After I graduated I always wanted to go travelling and stumbled upon CRCC Asia. I instantly got drawn to the programme from its inviting website. I didn’t think in my wildest dreams I would end up working in Shanghai, China. I felt re-assured from reading the testimonials and intern blogs. Within seven weeks of applying my application was fast tracked and all formalities from visa processing to airport pickup and orientation smoothly handled by the CRCC Asia team.

Overall it has made me a more adaptable person, not to mention the friends I have made from all over the world. I am still in contact with some and in the process of planning a future reunion. I would say this has been one of the best experiences of my life. Returning back to London this internship has opened many doors for me and has been a key conversation topic for interviews. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering undertaking an internship in Shanghai and like to thank CRCC Asia for making this happen.

In my final year of University I was successfully elected Vice President for Equality and Diversity of Queen’s University Belfast Students’, in this role I worked directly with international students and saw the immense benefit that an international experience was giving them – I wanted this too however I had already achieved a 2:1 LLB Law with Politics and thus wanted to gain some practical work experience.

Since returning from Asia, I decided that I no longer wanted to pursue a career in law but instead in business project management. I now live in London and work for a evolving and dynamic company called Asurion as a Program Management Analyst. I can say without question that my internship in Beijing, China a) helped me impress during the interview process and b) has equipped me with the necessary practical skillset to succeed. More importantly, I made some amazing friends whilst in China, most of which I see on a regular basis, and others (Chinese nationals) who I am planning a visit too.

I vividly remember as a five-year-old sitting in my lounge looking at an encyclopedia and seeing the Great Wall of China. I was fascinated because I have never seen something so different, the culture appealed to me. My inspiration was the love of China’s culture first and foremost rather than the internship in Beijing or an addition to my CV. I wanted to understand a different way of living, the size and scale of the daily operations, whether activities came as easy for me in NZ as they do elsewhere, if not, then why?

Overall, I am confident I can prosper professionally in a competitive country, industry, and city. I intend to make my mark on the energy and resource industry. China is fast becoming the leader in this field, therefore, I will not be surprised to see myself return.

My experience in China through CRCC’s Internship program was personally, professionally and culturally rewarding and I would highly recommend that anyone travel to China through the program. I met groups of wonderful people not only from China, but from all over the world through personal and professional networking while having my internship in Beijing.

CRCC Asia provided extremely comfortable accommodations and support throughout the program. The apartments and living arrangements were top notch and were in close proximity to all forms of transportation (ie trains and cabs) that made travel around the city extremely easy and convenient.

I greatly thank CRCC Asia for providing me the opportunity to experience something I know I will not only ever forget, but will benefit from both personally and professionally throughout my lifetime.
