Having just graduated from university, I wanted to take a year out to get some life experience before heading back to the books for a Masters. CRCC appealed to me as it was a chance to travel and also to get valuable international work experience in a sector I wish to work with in the future. I decided to take part in the one month internship program in Beijing and chose to work in the NGO/Charity sector. I was given a company which works with economics/environmental protection. Due to this internship in Beijing, I have been inspired to take this topic into further education.

I think that will be what I miss the most, constantly experiencing something new. This is a chance to do something different which will open many more doors than you think! Research well, and come prepared to make the most of your time. Beijing has a whole load of things to offer and you don’t want to miss a thing!

Sono venuta a conoscenza della possibilità di svolgere con i programmi di CRCC Asia uno stage in una delle maggiori città della Cina, grazie ad una newsletter inviatami dal settore placement della mia università: l’opportunità ha subito attirato la mia attenzione, anche se devo ammettere che ho impiegato un po’ di tempo prima di decidere di inviare la mia candidatura.

Ormai è passato più di un mese dal mio ritorno dalla Cina e posso dire con certezza che il tempo che vi ho trascorso mi abbia resa più forte e determinata nell’affrontare le nuove sfide lavorative ed universitarie. Consiglio a chiunque voglia intraprendere un’esperienza all’estero di lasciarsi alle spalle ogni paura, e di lanciarsi alla scoperta di un paese che ha molto da offrire e vi aprirà più porte di quante possiate immaginare!

Qui aurait dit, en décembre 2013, que les trois mots : « Internship in China » tapés dans un moteur de recherche sur internet me permettraient de vivre une des plus belles expériences de ma vie! Récemment diplômée et friande d’une nouvelle aventure avant d’entreprendre des études supérieures, c’est avec un sentiment d’excitation, mais aussi d’appréhension que je m’inscrivais au programme de langues + stages en Chine offerts par CRCC ASIA.

I cannot end this testimonial without talking about the extraordinary friendship built during my internship in Beijing. For most of us, we are still to this day in contact and often reminisce about some of our wonderful moment spent together on the program. Participating in one of the programs offered by CRCC Asia was certainly one of the most rewarding experience I did and that I highly recommend to everyone with the desire to live a memorable professional and social experience.

During the summer of 2014, I spent two months working for an international investment firm in Pudong, Shanghai. As a recent graduate of finance, I saw an internship abroad in China as an amazing experience supplement to my finance background.

While the internship in Shanghai was only 2 months, the amount of knowledge I gained within finance, international business, culture and myself has made it one of the best experiences and learning lessons of my life. I highly recommend anyone considering the internship to go with it. While there is a cost associated with the program, you cannot put a price tag on the experience and skill sets you gain from it.

Searching high and low for an internship over the summer was taking up a lot of time during my third year of university. I wanted something that would stand out on my CV, something that when employers asked the question; “So tell me something interesting about yourself”, I would have something I could refer to, something that I bet 99% of the other candidates applying for the job wouldn’t have.
After a random Google search I came across CRCC Asia – the opportunity to intern with an organisation in China – why not!
Soon after applying, I was chosen to work for an immigration company in Shenzhen.

The CRCC Asia experience has given me so much in the way of confidence, it paved the way for new friendships with people I would never come across on a daily basis, and it gave me the experience to see what its like out on the other side of the world. And to cap it off I have one extraordinary experience to tell any employer about when they ask me to tell them something interesting!

Sono tornata a casa a Padova da Shanghai una settimana fa, ma devo ammettere che mi sarei fermata un altro po’ in Cina.
Mi è piaciuta troppo questa esperienza di stage a Shanghai! Ora che sono a casa mi rimetto a studiare. Devo finire gli ultimi esami e quest’anno mi laureo all’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia in Economics and International Trade!

E poi in generale è un’esperienza che inciderà moltissimo nel mio curriculum quando sarò alla ricerca di un lavoro. La Cina è il futuro!
E poi è stato un bel periodo in generale perché ho stabilito delle relazioni stupende, delle amicizie che sono sicura non finiranno mai. E sicuramente tornerò in Cina. Grazie CRCC Asia!

Sono stata a Shanghai e ho lavorato per tre mesi alla British Chamber of Commerce a Shanghai, sono tornata da poco più di due settimane da uno stage in Cina con CRCC Aasia e già non vedo l’ora di ripartire!

Fare questo stage è stata la decisione migliore che potessi prendere! Molti potranno dire che ci sono tantissimi elementi che rendono la Cina un ambiente “ostico” come per esempio la loro lingua e il loro cibo, ma posso affermare che ci si abitua alla grande dopo qualche giorno.

Sono tornato da qualche giorno dal mio stage in Cina a Shanghai e posso dire di aver trascorso due mesi veramente fantastici!

Mi sono trovato benissimo comunque anche con CRCC Asia come organizzazione, in quanto tutto lo staff è sempre stato disponibilissimo ad aiutarci e a renderci la permanenza più facile dato che ci hanno sempre fornito tutte le istruzioni e il materiale per orientarci in Cina.
A settembre inizio l’ultimo anno della magistrale in Finanza presso l’Università di Bergamo e poi sono piuttosto deciso a vivere un’altra esperienza internazionale. Imparare e viaggiare non bastano mai!

The time that I spent in China has provided me invaluable experiences on a personal and professional level. I came across the CRCC programme when a university lecturer of mine encouraged me to apply for one of the scholarships on offer. I was immediately attracted to the prospect of working and learning in China. I was extremely lucky to win a partial scholarship for this chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to live and work in China has many benefits, specifically gaining work experience that will benefit me in future job prospects.

It is important to come with an open mind and with the right attitude, you will most definitely enjoy your time in China. With its rich culture, fascinating history and very hospitable locals, it is hard not to fall in love with this beautiful country.

Il periodo di stage in Cina è stato per me una bellissima esperienza specialmente dal punto di vista lavorativo dato che io non avevo mai fatto uno stage prima e sono capitato in un’azienda dove ho svolto le mansioni che avrei proprio voluto fare. L’azienda era abbastanza piccola ma molto buona e così ho avuto modo di vedere tutti i passaggi ed esplorare tutti i settori. Il mio capo era americano e da quel punto di vista ho perso un tratto peculiare dell’esperienza in Cina ma è stato un ottimo capo che mi ha spiegato e aiutato molto. Fuori dall’azienda inizialmente non è stato il massimo ma un po’ uno shock.

Adesso devo finire l’ultimo anno di triennale, laurearmi e poi pensavo di fare la magistrale nel Regno Unito e rifare un altra esperienza di stage all’estero per poi tornare in Italia. Mi farebbe piacere tornare in Cina ma solo per un’altra esperienza lavorativa per un periodo limitato.
