Role :
The Alumni Relations Manager will manage the relationship with all CRCC Asia alumni (participants who have completed a CRCC Asia program). The role is to ensure that: (1) CRCC Asia continues to provide a service to alumni after their program (2) CRCC Asia can leverage it’s 8000+ alumni for activities such as careers fairs, info sessions, and employment workshops.
The Alumni Relations Manager will also be responsible for devising and managing global initiatives such as obtaining testimonials/success stories, curating newsletters,  launching a campus ambassador scheme, and collecting alumni data (e.g. employment status after a program),

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting monthly ‘Welcome to the alumni network’ calls with participants who have recently finished their program

Introduction to the role

As our internship programs in Asia continue to impress our participants, university partners, and government education authorities, CRCC Asia’s Director of Program Operations is looking for a committed and motivated young professional to become our General Manager for the new Mumbai Internship Program which will accept a first intake of participants in May 2020.

The multifaceted role combines:

  • Establishing and operating an office and program team in Mumbai from January 2020
  • Partnership building/Business Development with relevant organisations in the Mumbai area
  • Program management including direct contact with participants on the CRCC Asia Mumbai program
  • HR, Finance and Operational Management

The position offers a unique professional opportunity related to a variety of fields including higher education, international education, career development, international relations, travel and tourism. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree education, preferably in a business related field 
  • Proven leadership/project management experience (minimum 2 years) 
  • Organization skills with acute attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a dynamic work environment 
  • Understanding of CRCC Asia business model, company culture, and internship programs
  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing situations and demands 
  • Previous experience/knowledge of the Seoul city area 
  • Fluent English and preferably fluency in either Hindi and/or Marathi

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Business development
    • Establish relationships with partner organizations for the placement of interns
    • Develop and implement strategies to source partnerships for internship placements
    • Explore a variety of industries in order to meet the demand for internships
    • Responsible for the Mumbai operations and staff, including development of the team, selection of the local service providers, managing office budgets 
    • Attend events, seminars and conferences to promote and develop CRCC Asia’s brand in Mumbai
  • Program management
    • Develop a calendar of cultural, social, business and community outreach events
    • Provide pastoral care to participants during their program, issues may range from logistical or cultural support to emergency situations
  • HR management
    • Alongside the CRCC Asia directorial team  determine staffing requirements and plan workforce in advance for peak/off peak season 
    • Alongside the CRCC Asia directorial team conduct training and onboarding process for new employees / trainees
    • Ensure compliance to local laws & company wide processes
    • Implement team building activities and create a friendly and hardworking team ethos

Introduction to the role

Your day-to-day will always be different, with projects including:

About You

We’re after an all-rounder who is practical and wants to get stuck in!

We’re a small team, and the working environment is fast paced , so you will be expected to a be self-starter and someone who is pro-active and able to make good rationale choices without always needing instruction.

  • Fluent English and preferably fluency in either Hindi and/or Marathi 

Additional Attributes:

  • Experience in study abroad, education and/or consulting fields highly desirable 
  • Diligent self-starter able to work towards deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Indian business codes, culture & customs
  • Ability to multitask, think logically and provide quick decisions on problem solving situations

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Business development
    • Establish relationships with partner organizations for the placement of interns
    • Develop and implement strategies to source partnerships for internship placements
    • Explore a variety of industries in order to meet the demand for internships
    • Responsible for the Mumbai operations and staff, including development of the team, selection of the local service providers, managing office budgets 
    • Attend events, seminars and conferences to promote and develop CRCC Asia’s brand in Mumbai
  • Program management
    • Develop a calendar of cultural, social, business and community outreach events
    • Provide pastoral care to participants during their program, issues may range from logistical or cultural support to emergency situations
  • HR management
    • Alongside the CRCC Asia directorial team  determine staffing requirements and plan workforce in advance for peak/off peak season 
    • Alongside the CRCC Asia directorial team conduct training and onboarding process for new employees / trainees
    • Ensure compliance to local laws & company wide processes
    • Implement team building activities and create a friendly and hardworking team ethos
  • Financial management
    • Build, manage and maximise office, program and operational budgets alongside the CRCC Asia finance team
