Global Finance Associate - HCMC

Location:‌ ‌Based in CRCC Asia’s “hub” office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

THE ROLE

CRCC Asia is seeking an ambitious junior to mid-level finance associate looking for a new challenge to act as the company’s primary finance manager for its Hong Kong, Australia, and UK entities. The group is composed of six companies – five entities for CRCC Asia and one entity for Virtual Internships. The Associate Finance Manager supports all financial matters related to three of the six, with occasional supporting responsibilities for CRCC Asia’s American entity as well as Virtual Internships. The Director of Finance oversees all six entities and will be the direct manager for this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACCOUNTING:

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of three company financial accounts: CRCC Asia UK, CRCC Asia Hong Kong, and CRCC Asia Australia. We use Xero, a cloud-based accounting software.
  • Collaborate with accountants in your jurisdictions to troubleshoot bookkeeping and accounting queries
  • Prepare documents for lodging tax returns in your jurisdictions in collaboration with the Director of Finance and our accounting partners
  • Leverage accounting software to produce quarterly and ad-hoc financial reports for consolidation with the records of the other companies
  • Support the Director of Finance with implementing and executing a process for quarterly adjusting entries
  • Support the Director of Finance in the creation of budgets and cash flow forecasts for your three companies on quarterly, annual and ad-hoc basis
  • Liaise with UK/HK/APAC staff to support them with coding their credit cards and personal expenses
  • Liaise with the Hong Kong entity’s regional staff to support them with the management and coding of their petty cash accounts
  • Create and implement an accounting process to support detailed management of assets and debts related to CRCC Asia’s largest client in the UK

FINANCIAL ADMIN:

  • Responsible for bank account management, credit card applications, and other bank related admin
  • Responsible for payment of salaries and suppliers for the entities in your domain
  • Leverage accounting data to ensure that the company is following up on outstanding receivables and paying outstanding payables on time
  • Ad-hoc preparation of other financial documents as requested by clients and third parties

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaboration with General Managers to maintain an updated database of costs of goods sold
  • Costing and pricing of custom products on request, with support from the Director of Finance
  • Support the Director of Finance with ad-hoc and miscellaneous forecasts and other data projects

ROLE REQUIREMENTS 

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • 3-5 years professional experience, preferably in an accounting, finance or revenue management role
  • Experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software is preferred
  • Experience working or studying in an international or multicultural setting is preferred
  • No specific or detailed knowledge of standard accounting principles in the UK, Hong Kong or Australia is required, but you must be willing to learn about your jurisdictions and adapt your processes accordingly
  • The size and sophistication of the companies also mean that you will be given more responsibility than is usually the case at this stage of your career. You should be motivated by taking on responsibility, challenging yourself and learning new skills.
  • CRCC Asia and Virtual Internships are run by young, dynamic teams across the globe. You should be a team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced, startup-like  environment.
  • Experience in the international education industry is not a requirement, but you should have an interest in international travel and improving employability for young people.
