Shanghai Program Coordinator

Location: Shanghai

Reports to: Respective General Manager/Program Manager

Hours of duty: Tuesday-Saturday – 5 days p/week, 8 hours p/day

Start Date: April 2019

CRCC Asia is an international education organization that facilitates international professional development programs in 8 cities in 5 countries globally: China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea and England. CRCC Asia has been in operation for 12 years, partners with 65+ universities and governmental bodies globally, and has sent 8,000+ students abroad through its award winning internship programs. CRCC Asia’s internship programs take place across a variety of dynamic sectors, including business, finance, engineering, law, and much more. CRCC Asia is looking for an enthusiastic Program Coordinator for our Internship Programs in China.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Helping to organize logistics for large groups of interns (airport pickup, company drop-off).
  • Responsible for interns’ well-being in the city (hospital visits, culture shock, city specific tips).
  • Alongside other Team Members, assisting in complaint handling.
  • Acting as a ‘counsellor’ for interns – being available to them in the hotel lobby (2 hours once a week).
  • Alongside other Team Members, responsible for organizing and executing the monthly program events.
  • Responsible for organizing extra-curricular activities (Saturday or Sunday) for program participants that will benefit participants overall experience of the city. For example, city tours, day trips to cultural sights, etc.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum BA level education;
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Chinese language skills would be a plus
  • Honest, detail-oriented, reliable, friendly;
  • Organized, motivated, self-starter;
  • Excellent social and communication skills.

Shenzhen Program Manager

Reports to: Shenzhen General Manager

Hours of duty: Variable. 5 days p/week, 8 hours p/day. Requires some weekend work Saturday or Sunday. Any weekend work will be paid back with time off during the week

Program Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Tokyo

Work hours: Full-time Tuesday to Saturday, temporary position until September

Introduction to the role:

As our internship programs in Asia continue to impress our participants, university partners, and government education authorities, CRCC Asia’s Director of Program Operations is looking for a committed and motivated young professional to support our team in Tokyo during our largest summer program by providing the hundreds of participants an incredible experience in Japan. Full training will be provided to bring you up to speed on our processes and goals.

The role combines:

  • Research and general management support
  • Partnership nurturing with current and future suppliers in the Tokyo area
  • Program management including direct contact with participants on the CRCC Asia Tokyo program

 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Work with the Program managers to develop a calendar of cultural, business and community outreach events
  • Work with the Program managers to provide pastoral care to all participants during their program
  • Work with the Program managers to ensure that the finer points of the program (housing, visas, etc.) are fully set-up

 

The position offers a unique professional opportunity providing insight and skill development related to a variety of fields including higher education, international education, career development, international relations, travel and tourism.

Introduction to the role

The internship with CRCC Asia will take place within the business development department. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to manage our network of host companies, create marketing materials, conduct communication campaigns to increase knowledge of CRCC Asia’s programs and participate in meetings with managers of our host companies. The position offers a unique professional opportunity providing insight and skill development related to a variety of fields including higher education, international education, career development, international relations, travel and tourism.

 

Main Tasks
  • Identify, list, contact and convince host companies to expand our offering of positions to international students.
  • Organize and attend meetings with potential host companies.
  • Liaise with existing and new host companies
  • Assist in securing positions in the host companies for international students
  • Assist marketing team in creating marketing materials you will need
  • Develop onboarding strategies with the Manchester GM and Director of Global Initiatives
  • Assist the rest of the team during the course of the program

Global Finance Manager

Introduction to the role

Working directly with the Co-Founders and the COO, this new position will oversee the company’s global financial operations. The role will be based in our Ho Chi Minh office, and is part of the company’s exciting plans to centralise core operational functions such as Finance, HR, and technology. We also welcome applicants who do not currently live/work in Vietnam, as we can offer a relocation package for the right candidate.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Drive the company’s financial planning
  • Have ownership over financial operations for the business, including reviewing and improving controls
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s global operations (US,UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam)
  • Lead global finance project to implement/improve- budgeting, forecasting and planning and the centralisation of global accounts payable and payroll processes
  • Financial performance optimisation
  • KPI/metrics analysis (financia)) to drive business decision making
  • Implement new technologies to automate and streamline manual processes
  • Manage the China Finance & Operations Manager
  • Develop and mentor a Finance & Operations Assistant/Intern in HCMC

 

Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years experience as CFO, Finance Manager or relevant role
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, knowledge of Google sheets is an advantage.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • Familiarity with Xero and Stripe
  • A qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or other
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field;
  • Additional language skills are welcome – fluent English and financial literacy is essential.
